It’s official, John Wick will soon return for a 5th film, Lionsgate’s president announced last May. Opus 4 is the franchise’s biggest hit worldwide, grossing $428 million. In France, it surpassed a million receptions, which is the best score in the saga.
Between The Continental series and the Ballerina spin-off, the Wick license is slowly starting to expand. While we wait for more on Episode 5, take a look at 10 names that would make great villains in this new opus.
Robert Downey Jr
Before becoming Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. could portray the evil Doctor Doom in Marvel. After camping for Tony Stark for many years, a bad guy role would be a good one for the actor, who should be making a comeback after being in The Avengers! Like Bill Skarsgård in John Wick 4, we see him playing a figure from a high table and stringing in the shadows.

Guardians of the Galaxy’s beautiful Mantis, Pom Klementieff will be up against Tom Cruise’s villainous role in Mission Impossible 7. With her fighting skills, we’d love to see her next in John Wick 5 where she’ll go up against Keanu. Reeves!
TONY JAA
We’re no longer introducing Tony Jaa, the incredible fighter star of the Ong Bak saga. The Thai actress gave Hollywood sirens a role in Fast and Furious 7, Monster Hunter or the next Expendables 4. A fight against John Wick in Opus 5 would be very spectacular, no doubt about it!
IKO UWAIS
In the same vein as Tony Jaa, Indonesian actor Iko Uwais would make a great match for John Wick. The actor will also be on the poster for Expendables 4, in which he will be opposite Jason Statham. Revealed in the diptych The Raid, Iko Uwais had already met Keanu Reeves in Man of Tai Chi before starring in Star Wars 7, 22 Miles or Snake Eyes.
Rebecca Ferguson
Between Mission Impossible and Dune, Rebecca Ferguson has shown she can be a ruthless fighter. He would make a great and venomous villain against John Wick. Additionally, the actor dazzled audiences with his refreshing performance in Dr. Sleep, the sequel to The Shining. He camped with Rose O’Hara, the story’s antagonist.
Jason Statham
John Wick vs. Jason Statham! Who wouldn’t want to see these two fight? The British actor, a brilliant fighter, will certainly have a hard time with Baba Yaga.
Tony Servillo
Tony Servillo will be an awesome villain in the next John Wick! With his natural charisma and Mediterranean charm, the Italian comedian would be perfect as the godfather of the underworld, sending his minions on John Wick’s trail.
Remember that this great actor excelled in the tremendous La Grande Bellezza, played Berlusconi in Silvio, as well as the implacable Franco in Gomora.
NASSIM LYES
Expected to hit theaters on June 28 is Farangshi, an action film that promises to be very violent. The French actor, who can be seen in The Last Mercenary and The Passerby, is as sharp as ever and could break some of Baba Yaga’s ribs.
NICOLAS CAGE
On the eve of his 60th birthday, Nicolas Cage is still in good form! He’d play a decent antagonist in John Wick 5, dealing with the hero with facial expressions only a comedian knows how to do. Already anticipated in the Expendables saga, we could see him return to the John Wick franchise.
Dolph Lundgren
Colossus Dolph Lundgren, who already fought Keanu Reeves in the very little-known Johnny Mnemonic, is in the mood to interpret a delicious bad guy against John Wick! 65-year-old Ivan Drago of Rock Saga fame still has a few pedals under his belt! We’ll find him next October in The Expendables 4.
