Three years have passed since the last adventures of Marilo and Philip on a happy retirement. In this second part, the couple decides to introduce their grandchildren to their new vacation home in Portugal.
But once they are scared they discover that the house is still under construction! This is just the beginning for galleries for grandparents, because soon … they are losing children. They only have two days to look for them before their parents join.
The first episode, released in November 2019, has already brought together Michelle LaRoche and Thierry Lermitt in the role of earthly retirees. The latter, who thought he was finally enjoying a well-deserved vacation, will find the strange family difficult again.
This family comedy, which drew 1.3 million viewers, was a success. This sequel is still produced by Fabrice Braque, the author of the first opus.
It is written by a filmmaker and Guillaume Clichot, based on the novel Pepper and salt Published by Guillaume Cliquot Fleuve Editions.
Happy Retirement 2 will be released in cinemas on July 20, 2022.
