It All Begins Here: What’s in store for Friday 30 June 2023 episode 698 [SPOILERS]

Axel has an accident

After spending the night together, Jasmine and Axel prepare for graduation. At the same time, Rose goes to see her half-brother to show him the certificate of authenticity from the jeweler who made their father’s ring. That is why it is a unique model. However, Axel replies that what he found in the wallet could be a copy. According to him, there is no point in looking for a logical explanation. Unlike Rose, he prefers to let it go.

As Rose leaves, Jasmine tries to understand Axel’s reasoning. The latter tells him that he received a message from a stranger the day before and shows it to him. He finds it strange and is not going to react to it. He really wants to move forward. Jasmine respects her choice.

At the institute, students meet in the amphitheater. Axel meets Ethan there and takes the opportunity to tell him that he is indeed on the mend with Jasmine. His friend is happy for him. After which Teissier, Latour and Leroy arrive at the amphitheater. The latter hails the spirit of solidarity that united students during the end-of-year exams, but also during the train accident. Rose then names the head of each class: David, Jasmine, and Lionel.

3rd graders walk to the center of the amphitheater to receive their diplomas and perform. He remembered that after passing the exams in the 1st year, he was almost dismissed from the institute, he learned the following lesson: even if you don’t leave with a profit, you have to hang on. Lionel also emphasizes the importance of having a supportive environment. He ends up thanking Kelly, Listrac, but also Tessier. Encouraged by the students, the director of the institute in turn makes a short speech that salutes the rigor, hard work and courage of the students of the institute.

A little later, Jasmine and Axel meet Thibaut in the corridor. The latter uses the opportunity to formally introduce himself to Axel. The two shook hands and decided to erase what happened between them, especially on the train.

Students then gather in Double A for cocktails. Axel has glasses with Ethan and David as they head to their sophomore year. At the same time, the glass breaks on the ground. Axel is then struck by the lightning of the accident, in which he clearly hears Auguste Armand’s voice.

Distraught, the young man stands aside. When Jasmine finds her, Axel explains to her what happened. He finally changes his mind and tries to call the unknown number that contacted him the day before as his savior. Jasmin convinces him to support…

Hortense and Elliot have a crazy idea

In the kitchen, Lionel presents Greg and Elliott with the menu he envisioned for their wedding: pan-seared foie gras crown with truffles and beef crommesque, then duck breast and grilled salmon pavé for the main course. Hortense and Mehdi join them in the kitchen, telling them they got engaged the day before. Elliot congratulates his best friend. Everyone is happy. Hortense is already planning to get married in December and also wants to hire Lionel as a chef on the menu.

A little later, with a roommate, a small group reminisces about their three years at the institute. They promise to never lose each other.

Back at the institute, Hortense gives Elliot some advice for his marriage. In particular, he shows her a binder where he has collected all the inspirations and addresses that he wants to organize his dream wedding. She’s ready to give her all to Eliot because most of her inspirations are for a summer wedding, not a winter wedding like hers.

At the prom cocktail, Hortense and Elliot finally announce to Lionel, Greg, and Mehdi that they want to celebrate their marriage on the same day at the Institute. It also signifies the friendship that binds them together.

Rose and Antoine are on the verge of breaking up

Summoned to Miriel’s office, Solal asks what responses he received to his request for twenty internships for the summer. The deputy director tells him that he has been turned down everywhere, but he has found an internship at a bistronomic restaurant in Dunkirk, where he can start next week. Miriel leaves him no choice but to accept, even if it doesn’t meet his expectations and needs.

At the park, Rose approaches Ambre and Solal, who are just discussing summer plans. Thus, she learns that all of Solal’s proposals have been rejected, but Antoine has encouraged her to do an internship at a bistro in Dunkirk. Solal expresses his fear that he won’t be good enough next year if he doesn’t work in a gourmet restaurant. Rose understands this and promises to find a solution by talking to Antoine directly.

Rose returns home to find her companion. He directly addresses the subject of Solal, which deeply annoys Antoine. Faced with his insinuations, Rose tries to understand the problem. After that, Antoine reveals to him the rumors in the institute about his affair with Solal, which Suleiman informed him about the day before.

Rose confirms that nothing is going on between her and Solal, but Antoine scolds her for going to the room knowing full well how he feels about her. The tone between the pair escalates to such an extent that Antoine lets it be known that he is deliberately keeping Solal away from Dunkirk. Rose declares that she won’t let him sabotage her student’s career just out of jealousy. When Antoine accuses him of imposing his law as a member of the Armand family, it’s the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Rose and Antoine are on the verge of breaking up.
