Indiana Jones 5 shows ‘Indiana Jones at the end of life’, says Harrison Ford

Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny marks Harrison Ford’s departure from the iconic adventure franchise

Newest release in Brazilian cinemas, Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny marks the farewell of Harrison Fordlegendary performer of Indiana Jonesfrom the franchise and shows the character “at the end of life,” according to the actor.

During an interview with Omelet, ford commented on the plot elements that drew his attention to accepting the fifth film in the franchise. “I’ve always wanted to kind of wrap up his story by showing Indiana Jones at the end of his career – even his life,” he said.

We had a great script, which James [Mangold, diretor de Indiana Jones 5] and colleagues built together, and that was the encouragement I needed. I was really excited when I read the script, so… I saw no reason not to add a chapter to this story.

“We demonstrate the strength of indy over the course of four films, but now he’s entering a new phase of his life,” continued Harrison Ford. “After 15 years of absence, we find him again a little aged, about to retire from the academic career – which he no longer finds so inspiring to begin with. So I think this is a moment we haven’t seen before.”
