This will be ‘Tulsa King’, the Sylvester Stallone series

The actor will debut on the small screen in a series from the creator of ‘Yellowstone’

    Sylvester Stallone will debut on the small screen starring in ‘tulsa king‘, a series about the mafie directed by the creator of ‘Yellowstone’ Taylor Sheridan.

    Actor, director, screenwriter and producer Thus, he has a new project underway shortly after saying goodbye to his two most iconic characters, John Rambo and Rocky Balboa.

    Stallone had already participated with a small appearance in series such as ‘Kojak‘, more than 30 years ago, and most recently on ‘This Is Us,’ but this will be his first leading role in a television series, playing a New York criminal mobster named Dwight “The General” Manfredi.

    The new series of the Italian-American actor will tell us how Manfredi, released from prison after spending 25 years behind bars, will try to establish a new criminal order (with him as the leader, of course) in Tulsa, Oklahomaafter being removed from The Big Apple.

    Terence Winter (‘The Sopranos’) will act as showrunner, while Taylor Sheridan, creator of the ‘Yellowstone’ series, will be in charge of directing the episodes. Sheridan dazzled as a screenwriter in Hollywood for his work on ‘Comanchería’ and ‘Sicario‘, and adapted a script of his directing the remarkable ‘Wind River‘.

    Speaking to Variety magazine, Sheridan referred to the ‘Tulsa King’ project as follows: “Look, all you need, in my opinion, to have an interesting television show, is to take a really fascinating character and place him in a world that we know nothing about.”.

    ‘Tulsa King’, which has already shared the first image of Stallone in his new role, is being produced by MTV Studios and 101 Studios, and will be released in the US by the Paramount+ network later this year, on November 13.
