With one eye on Resende, Olaria faces Botafogo’s Under 23 team

In preparation for the match against Resende, Olaria played a training match against Botafogo.

Leader of the Santos Dumont Cup with 14 points, Olaria faced the Under 23 of Botafogo in a training match last Friday morning (30), at the annex field of the Estádio Nilton Santos. During the break for this Saturday’s round, and will only return to the field next Wednesday (05), against Resende, at the Estádio da Rua Bariri, the group led by coach Palinha Olivério had the opportunity to carry out a technical activity high level to adapt the team to the sequence of the competition.

— A match like this is important because it asks us more for the opponent’s structure. It helps us minimize errors, see what’s right. Some players caught in training. They are new players who needed an opportunity and thank God they gave an answer. All this is valid, even more so when we have a free week to train – said coach Palinha.

With the next commitment for the Serie A2 of the Carioca Championship scheduled only for Wednesday, Olaria will still have at least four more activities before defining the team that will take the field. For this commitment, midfielder Xandinho is the only embezzlement. The number 10 blue shirt is disqualified for the third yellow card and is unable to play. Palinha believes his team still has a few points to settle until the match with Resende.

— This training game requires a lot and allows us to build many moves. We still have a few days to work on, but it’s been really good. I am happy with the activity, I got to know the structure, we were well received by everyone, by Lúcio Flávio, it was a valid experience and added to the process – concluded the coach.

Olaria takes the field on Wednesday (05), at 15 when he receives Resende for the eighth round of the Santos Dumont Cup, at the Estádio da Rua Bariri.
