Netflix’s new animated product is an adaptation of ND Stevenson’s graphic novel Nimona. This short comic follows the adventures of a young shape-shifting heroine and a knight wrongly accused of a crime in a futuristic medieval world.
What will they like?
- A rebel and a punk heroine, with each other’s most amazing metamorphoses.
- An original futuristic medieval world that breathes fresh air into traditional fairy tales.
- Fast paced, with multiple storylines… and above all, lots and lots of humor!

What can scare them:
- Heartbreaking moments about Nimona’s past, or Ballister’s rejection.
- Some of Nimona’s “monstrous” transformations are meant to scare her enemies… and can scare children too.
- Sometimes two-way humor that will make adults laugh. But on the other hand, it will be more difficult to explain the meaning of these jokes to children.
