After years of waiting involving false starts and other delays, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate is finally in our cinemas from Wednesday 28th June. And it marks Harrison Ford’s farewell to one of his greatest roles.
The actor has announced this for a long time and confirmed it again at the Cannes Film Festival. At our microphone and in every interview where he mentioned the James Mangold feature film (which replaces Steven Spielberg behind the camera), a role he held for five films and four decades. But what was his last scene as Indiana Jones?
In the documentary Being James Bond, Daniel Craig revealed that his last plan for 007 was the most innocuous: we saw him disappear down a corridor in Cuba towards the end of the sequence, which is in the middle of the dying story. wait Was it the same for Harrison Ford or was it more symbolic? “We did a few touches at the end, which is the last one I took.”– the actor tells us. “He was with me Karen Allen, who played an important role in the saga, but only appears briefly at the end of this film, something very exciting. I felt nostalgia and a sense of accomplishment.”
“I’m proud of the film, I’m happy with it. But as with all good things, there comes a time when you have to move on. I really enjoyed the whole process around this film, I’m one more time. Very happy, so I left the set happy that day.” A must-see sequence, along with others, in theaters for a few days.
