Allocine: You are currently at the center of a great intrigue surrounding Victor’s Secret (Bertrand Farge). While the police begin to make a connection between him and Laurence Roussillon, a woman in her fifties, what role does Claire (Melanie Maudran) and Elena will play in this story?
Sophie Le Tellier: From the beginning, Claire and Hélène wanted to help Victor. We quickly learn why she became close to Lawrence Roussillon, how they met, and why she wants to help. Lawrence has an incurable disease, and if he waited, he would be released from prison too late to fulfill his dream. After learning this, Helen and Claire are overwhelmed by the woman’s story. So they help him realize his dream through fake paintings. They will be used for a good cause and it will be a kind of redemption for Helen.
So are Claire and Ellen going to go illegal?
Yes. They are ready to do anything to save Victor.
After threatening teenagers with weapons and kidnapping Christian (Nils Olund), we definitely have questions about Helen’s mental health. Did he literally pass out?
(laughs). True, there is something crazy about it. He can be a bit overwhelmed with his emotions at times. And when he feels it’s for a good cause, it’s beyond him. I don’t know if we can go to bipolar, but sometimes it can be out of control.
In this case, she was angry because Victor was in danger. This has no limits, as we saw with Christian’s kidnapping. On the other hand, I don’t think he would go so far as to harm her. It goes a long way, but it still has views.
He also has a very sensitive side…
That’s what I wanted. I wanted her to be a little annoying sometimes and suddenly act like a little girl who does everything. I wanted it to touch on the pitfalls, the pitfalls, and the realization as well.
Will Helen ask questions about her mental health?
Helen will have a realization and talk to David about it. He will also tell Claire”I don’t think you were completely wrong. I think something is wrong with me“. But he will come back to it. Sometimes Helen sees clearly in him and then he closes, he hides and forgets. So there is an awareness, but then there is a kind of small reversal that will happen when even.
This intrigue brought Claire and Elena closer again. Will Claire be able to put the past aside and make room for Helen in her life?
Claire is going to apologize to Helen. She thanks him for helping her save her father. Eventually, Claire finds some tenderness for him.
If we dwell a little on the development of your character over time, we cannot help but compare it to Christophe (Hubert Benhamdin). The musical theme, the scenes are always very cinematically marked… is your character destined to play the same trajectory in the register of insanity? What are the writers planning for the sequel?
You never know anything in advance. When I came to the series, I didn’t even know that my character was going to change. At least I was told that things would happen. I didn’t think it would go that far with Claire’s character. When Helen changed treatment, there was redemption through prison and psychoanalysis. For me, there were months and months when Helen was “normal”. And to be honest, I thought it would stay that way.
However, people found it hard to believe. It is true that Helen has always kept this slightly strange side inside her. I think what I did with that character made the writers really happy. They probably wanted to do something unusual with a character that was a bit crazy. I think Helen alternates between calm moments and angry ones like Kristoff. I have the impression that they will go in this direction because they know that we always have surprises. That’s what’s exciting about this series, is that we find out little by little what’s going to happen.
On the professional side, nothing is going well between Alix (Nadia Fossier) and Elena briefly stopped their cooperation after kidnapping Christian. However, in order to keep a better eye on him, Alix ends up rehiring him. What can we expect between these two women in the upcoming episodes?
Alix is playing a double game, he is still wary of Elena. On the other hand, Elena is sure that they have become friends again and she is fully in this friendship.
Any more shenanigans to come in the gallery?
It is possible. I think Alix can take Helen wherever she wants.
Elena was really unlucky in her heart. Could she be dating someone soon or getting closer to Victor?
So far he has no one.
In terms of friendship, Elena is very close to David (Quentin Gratias). Is this a friendship we hope to develop in the future?
I really want to because Quentin Gratias is a great actor. He is truly a generous and loving partner. In any case, this is a true friendship between Helen and David. I hope they keep this link.
When this arc ends, what awaits Helen in the sequel to Un si grand soleil?
I don’t know, but I hope the writers keep things for him that are still linear. That would be good.
What is the public response to the character of Elena?
There are a lot of people who don’t like me. People take things at face value. They are not talking about Sophie Le Tellier, but about Ellen. They say “I don’t like him“,”You have to be careful“,”He is crazy“And then there are those who have perspective and who say I’m a good actress. Despite everything, I still realize that there are many who don’t have perspective and who don’t like Elena. After that, I say to myself. So much the better, It means I have an annoying side that works (laughs).
What memories do you have of this arch? Do you have a scene that you enjoyed shooting?
A scene where Helen points a gun at two children. It has gone so far. Everyone was dying of laughter. We had a lot of laughs with Melanie Maudran and the director, I’ve come so far in my acting, we had fun taking this madness that Helen has in her to the extreme. It was really fun to play. This is my favorite scene in this entire arc. I let it go, I went all out. They did not keep the scenes there to keep the audience.
Do you have any other projects besides Un si grand soleil at the moment?
I am acting with Jules Depardieu in Alexandra Ehle’s TV series. We do two 90-minute episodes a year. I was also a guest in the Mariani TV series with Marilu Berry.
