In the horror comedy “Renfield”, which was released in theaters last May, Nicolas Cage takes on the mask of the famous Count Dracula. Taking to his Instagram, director James Wan, the man behind the Saw, Insidious and Conjuring sagas, recently revealed that Nicolas Cage was very close to playing Dracula in his helmed adaptation. Castlevania.

In this Castlevania Edited by Konami, released in 1986, tells the story of a vampire hunter, Simon Belmont, who tries to defeat Dracula, who reigns terror in Transylvania. Since then, there have been about twenty video game adventures set in this world.
So if there isn’t a Castlevania movie in the end, the animated series adapted from the hit video game has a rich four-season run available on Netflix. A spin-off is being prepared for the platform. Centered on the characters of Richter Belmont – a descendant of Trevor and Siffa – and Marie Renard, it is set during the French Revolution.
