Killers of the Flower Moon, Martin Scorsese’s new film, which was presented out of competition at the recent Cannes Film Festival, has released a new trailer.
The feature film, considered a masterpiece before its theatrical release, reunites two of Scorsese’s favorite actors, Robert De Niro (10 films together) and Leonardo DiCaprio (with whom he made 6 films). Alongside them, the revelation is Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser and John Lithgow.
Adapted from David Grann’s bestseller, “The Flower Moon Killers: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBIThe film tells the story of a series of murders that took place in 1920s Oklahoma among members of the Osage, an Indian community that made its fortune after discovering large oil patches on its land. Leonardo DiCaprio, who professed true love to Martin Scorsese at the film’s Cannes premiere, plays Ernest Burkhart, the husband of the Osage camped by Lily Gladstone and De Niro’s nephew, a wealthy cattle rancher.
