Indiana Jones: Harrison Ford played him not 5, but 6 times!

While Harrison Ford dons his famous fedora for the last time in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fortune, the fifth installment of the James Mangold-directed saga, in theaters June 28, a little “bonus adventure” archaeologist you may never have heard of.

Indeed, in addition to the 5 feature films that we know well, the famous interpreter of Indiana Jones played the character for the fifth time, in 1992, during a small scene for the series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones (played by Sean. Patrick Flannery) and a chase in powder snow.

The series, which serves as the introduction to episode 5 of the second season (Secret of the Blues – Part 1), is set in the snowy Wyoming of the early 1950s.

We find Indy in a very bad state, being chased by enemies after they stole an old peace pipe. Accompanied by his friend Gray Cloud, he takes refuge in a chalet in the middle of a blizzard and plays the saxophone, which reminds him of his studies in Chicago and during Prohibition.

Voiced by Claude Giraud in VF, the adventurer is portrayed by Harrison Ford, who briefly reprized his role a few years after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. While preparing to play Richard Kimble in The Fugitive (hence his beard), the actor did agree to take part in this unprecedented adventure on one condition: that it be filmed near his ranch in Wyoming.
