In turn, Samsung may have contacted Chinese supplier BOE for screens for the XR headphones, as well as consulting with Samsung Display itself. Apple uses panels by sony in the Vision Pro, powered by OLED on silicon (OLEDoS).

It is not yet possible to say what the consequences of the delay are for Samsung XR screen suppliers. However, it is possible that the product offers more powerful specifications than previously anticipated, even if this leads to higher prices charged to consumers.
According to previous reports, the Samsung headphones will be equipped with a Snapdragon processor and run an adapted version of Android. The company’s partnership with Google and the Qualcomm it had already been made official at the Unpacked event in February, but without many technical details.
Google itself may also present a hardware platform for headphones, which could be used by other interested companies. However, Search Giant is not expected to launch its own representative to compete with options from Apple, Samsung and ObjectiveFor example.
