Guardians of the Galaxy 3: A Deleted Scene reveals the fate of this central character

Please note that this article contains spoilers for the ending of Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

In theaters since May 3, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 has grossed $841 million at the international box office and attracted 3.4 million viewers in French theaters. James Gunn’s feature film is the most watched installment of the saga in France.

The Marvel movie that fans have been waiting for is the last movie in this team of franchise guardians. In this Volume 3, Peter Quill, still grieving the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldana), must assemble his team to protect the universe and save Rocket.

At the end of the featurette, Rocket frees living beings (humans and animals) from the ship of the Master of Evolution, played by Chukwudi Iwuji, and fights his creator. But when it’s time to kill him, a genetically modified raccoon decides to spare him.

Gamora then removes the mask that covered the villain’s face and we find that the latter is completely disfigured. The wound that the missile had given him in the past before escaping.

The Master of Evolution’s ship is then completely destroyed, and the latter’s fate remains unclear.

The latter was rescued and taken to Nowher, where the guards live. Without a word, the rocket locks its creator in a cell. Thus, the latter will remain under close surveillance, but the possible return of the villain is therefore not excluded, since he can always escape.

The rest of the video shows Kraglin (Sean Gunn) telling Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) that he acted like a hero in saving Peter (Chris Pratt). The latter is therefore recognized among the Guardians, as shown in the post-credits scene.

James Gunn explained to the site while promoting the film GamesRadar+ that the end of the movie is: “Rocket Journey Climax”. He added:

“Rocket goes from the least empathetic Guardian to the most compassionate Guardian. It seems stupid and stupid that he refuses to kill the evolutionist and then abandons him on the exploding ship. And, yes, there is a deleted scene. She’s really great, but she faltered at the end. But you’ll eventually see it in the supplements.”
