Injunction applies to film screenings rated 12 and over
Conar (National Advertising Self-Regulation Council) issued an injunction asking for the suspension of the showing of the film’s trailer Barbie in sessions whose indicative rating is 12 years. The request is based on article 2 of the Child and Adolescent Statute, which establishes the child’s protection age.
In a note sent to Folha de S.Paulothe Council stated that:
“the rapporteur for the representation granted a partial injunction, taking into account that the teaser [de Barbie] is on display ostensively for children and with scenes of non-urbanity, lack of good manners or violent/unsafe acts, which violate recommendations of section 11 of the Code.”
