‘I never did sex scenes before Fatal Seduction’: The actors of the erotic Netflix series talk about their intimate scenes

With ten days of Netflix series premieres, Fatal Seduction is the platform’s hit of the moment. This new South African erotic series, created by Stephen Pillemer, Damilola Elbe and Sydney Deere, won over subscribers to the streaming service in no time.

It must be said that this sensual thriller, which is not recommended for children under 16, contains all the ingredients of the “soft” erotic content that has become very popular on Netflix in recent years.

Fatal Seduction follows Nandi (Kgomotso Christopher), a law professor and his young student named Jacob (Prince Grootboom) who meet at a weekend party with his best friend Brenda (Lunathi Mampofu).

But when the latter is found dead, Nandi’s life changes completely, and terrible truths about Brenda’s past, as well as Leonard (Tapelo Mokoena), Nandi’s prosecutor husband, come to the surface. As if some of the revelations weren’t bad enough for Nandi, she realizes that Jacob is strangely connected to the whole thing…

Intense first sex scenes for the cast of Fatal Seduction

A sensual thriller that combines forbidden romance, intense investigation and gruesome revenge, Fatal Seduction also has plenty of sex scenes. And the cast of the South African series talked about the sequences in a video titled “Sex Talk” and posted on YouTube by Netflix.

For some of them, shooting intense sex scenes was a great first in their careers, like Ngele Ramulondi (Zinhle): “Those scenes were enriching because I didn’t understand all the nuances that these types of sequences can have. I remember the coach saying it was like a dance.”

Prince Grootboom (Jacob) also commented on this first experience for him and appreciated having a “coach” or intimacy coordinator (a person who choreographs the sex scenes and accompanies the actors by creating a healthy work environment based on trust, respect, consent. and communication, Editor’s note) on the set:

“I had never done sex scenes or sex scenes or anything like that before Fatal Seduction. It was interesting, especially since we had coaches with us.”

The other slightly older comedians on the Netflix series have had sex scenes before in their careers, but not on this scale, and they also wanted to highlight the importance of intimacy coordinators on set to make them more comfortable, which they haven’t had the opportunity to do before. Like Lunati Mampofu (Brenda):

“A few years ago I did a movie called ‘A Good Man in South Africa and Ireland’. It was very strange, I was playing a high school girl. It was quite traumatic, more so for my family, just for me. We didn’t have intimacy coordinators. At the time it was just the director who He asked me to be a seductress and put on clothes. And I was in my second year at AFDA University at the time. It was scary.”

Ditto for Thapelo Mokoena (Leonard), who believes that this is a new and important working environment for sex scenes. “A Lesson in Humility” Ჯanmo “I really changed the way the game was played”.

At the moment, seven episodes of Fatal Seduction are available on Netflix, but this is only the first volume of the first season. The second volume of the seven other episodes is expected soon on the platform, which has yet to announce an air date.
