Oppenheimer is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of 2023, both for its cast but above all for its biographer. Director Christopher Nolan, in his twelfth feature film, explores the life and dilemmas of J. Robert Oppenheimer, an American physicist known as the father of the atomic bomb.
It is not recent that the trajectory and inventions of great scientists are the focus of filmmakers who wish to explore this theme further. Responsible for positive and structuring changes in society and culture, even historical tragedies, scientists are notoriously protagonists inside and outside the cinema.
At almost three hours running time, this is Christopher Nolan’s longest film, and he already has fans abroad. International critics indicate Oppenheimer as the director’s most solid work.
Oppenheimer opens in Brazil July 20. Meanwhile, Olhar Digital has prepared a list of five movies for you that are also based on scientists and their achievements throughout history.
