Netflix has announced that its basic ad-free plan has been canceled in the UK and US. In both countries, the company says the $9.99 or £6.99 plan will no longer be available to “new or returning members”. The change was revealed by the Cord Busters website.

Netflix spokeswoman Kumiko Hidaka confirmed the plan’s removal to The Verge and said the initial packages for streaming are “inferior to those of the competition.”
Is it in Brazil?
On the Netflix support page, Brazil continues with the current basic plan. The ad-free option, which costs BRL 25.90, lets you watch programs on one device at a time, has limited HD quality, and downloads to only one device.
