Kellyane and Kelly are now neighbors; they don’t intend to, but they would be happy if they got pregnant together
Kellyane and Kelly Marques, 20, have shared almost everything in their lives: they were born, raised and married together. What makes this coincidence even more special is that their husbands are twin brothers just like them. The wedding took place last Saturday, 15, in Palmas, Tocantins. Now the sisters have become neighbors and share the new experiences of marriage with each other.
Kellyane married Maurício Oliveira and Kelly to Marcelo Oliveira, 23 years old. They met in 2018, at the church they’ve been attending since they were teenagers, but their romance only surfaced years later.
It was the couple Kellyane and Maurício who first fell in love. He was her drum teacher when Kellyane was still 12 years old. Even then you could hear people asking, “Have you ever thought about twins with twins?” “After we grew up, it was. It worked. It started generating feelings. We went into prayer and God confirmed it,” she says.
In 2021, the two started dating and, as Kellyane explains, entered the process of saving for marriage. Meanwhile, according to her, Kelly and Marcelo hardly spoke to each other.
“It was just ‘shalom, peace in the church’ and that was it,” the sister says, explaining that they just shook hands. But fate made Kelly and Marcelo attend the same conference and they grew closer. And, in early 2022, with strong encouragement from church colleagues, they started dating.
Initially, the wedding was also not supposed to take place with the four of them at the altar, but the idea came up and the sisters loved it. They decided they would enter the church dressed alike, just like the boys. The only accessory that clashed were the eyeglasses worn by Maurício, and it was thanks to them that Kellyane did not confuse her boyfriend at the beginning of the relationship.
“Today, I don’t think they look alike, but in the beginning, mercy,” jokes Kellyane. She says that with cohabitation they already differ easily.
As for the future, Kellyane leaves it in God’s hands. The sisters have no intention of doing that, but they would be happy if they got pregnant together.
