Santos announced, this Thursday (20), the signing of Diego Pituca. The beach club has signed a pre-contract with the midfielder, whose link with Kashima Antlers expires on 1 January 2024 and there will be no renewal. The agreement with Peixe will be valid for four years.
Alvinegra’s board tries to anticipate the 30-year-old midfielder’s exit in this transfer window. But the Japanese club won’t give up on receiving four million dollars (R$19.2 million).
After three seasons in Asian football, Pituca will return to Santos. He arrived at Vila Belmiro in 2017 and received his first chance in the pros the following year. Shortly after he gains space and becomes owner.

At the start of 2021, the midfielder moved to Kashima Antlers and was a regular, as well as being one of the team’s highlights in competitions.
Pituca has become Internacional’s target this season, but the polls have not evolved. However, he has always expressed affection for Santos. Proof of this is that he often posts photos on social media while watching the games.
