Jonathan Cohen can sing! Check out her hilarious clip from her upcoming film on Prime Video

Piano on the sand, hair (mullet style) in the wind… Jonathan Cohen, or rather François Sentinel, lends his voice in this clip released online by Prime Video as part of the promotion of his next French film.

In The Sentinel, expected on platforms on September 8, the actor plays a media-loving cop on Reunion Island, known for his muscular methods and floral shirts, but also a charming singer. Fifteen years on, he’s been trying to reconnect with success by making a new album… to no avail.

But between the police and the music, Sentinel doesn’t want to choose. While he’s busy with his concerts and album release, a violent crime wave hits the island. For any police officer, this will be the job of a lifetime. But Sentinel, for all his music, doesn’t really have an investigative feel. This is a slightly strange synopsis of this comedy, which brings together on the screen Emmanuelle Bercot, Raphael Cuenard, Gustave Kervern and Ramsay.

This clip is clearly second-rate, but perfectly matches Jonathan Cohen’s absurdist humor. A song similar to Alain Chabat’s “Flou de toi” to promote La personne aux deux personnes (2008), which became a real earworm…

I leave you with the words “Excuse me?” that will definitely stick in your mind until the movie hits Prime Video:

If I had to do it again, I would do anything.

I will wipe these tears from my cheeks.

i say come back

I’ll do it right this time.

This time I’ll be happy in the sky of your blue eyes

We will always see each other tomorrow on your two palms.

in the sky of your blue eyes

Put your two hands on me for tomorrow.

do you regret

Not me. not at all.

do you regret

Me, absolutely not. There is no way.

If I had to do it again, I would do anything.

But I did everything

I would change it without changing anything in my life.

I will remain who I am.

Being different, without changing anything,

But by changing it completely, without breaking my achievements.

while being different

But by changing it completely, without breaking my achievements.

If you can’t make it tomorrow, I can make it on Thursday.

do you regret

Make fun of me and my confidence.

It teaches me to trust a little too much.

I am too honest.

Not you. There is no way.

So do you regret it?

Well, not me at all

But turn around, stop your masquerade and dry your mascara.

And stop all these escalations

While I’m cooking…

stop!

By the way, can you on Thursday?

Because I can.

There is no way. In total.
