Chimaev teases Paulo Borrachinha: “I want to make him cry”

Russo will face the Brazilian in October at UFC 294, Abu Dhabi

After a coming and going, Paulo Borrachinha and Khamzat Chimaev finally confirmed their fight for UFC 294, in October, in Abu Dhabi (UAE). A duel pitting two fighters against each other that has attracted fans, but who for various reasons have not been able to match fights.

The Russian, who hasn’t fought since UFC 279, in 2022, wants to prove to those who doubt that they still want to step into the octagon that they are wrong. And he wants to do it with a performance against the Brazilian that makes the mineiro ‘cry’.

– I will make this boy (Borrachinha) cry, as I always do. Destroy someone and earn. Make this guy cry and go back to Brazil. No Brazilian likes him, the guys there write me telling me to beat him. That boy is not Brazilian, so I will hit Paulo and make him cry” Chimaev told TNT Sports.

The feud between ‘Borz’ and the Brazilian began last year when the Chechen got into a fight with the miner while he was attending a training session. The two challenged each other but on that occasion there was no confrontation. Since then, fans have started imagining a duel between the two.

Borrachinha has repeatedly made fun of Chimaev, calling him a ‘Chechen gourmet’ and criticizing him for not being willing, in his opinion, to want to face him in the face of the entire conflict between the two. The Russian, in turn, has challenged the Brazilian and his other rivals in recent months, but has only now managed to close a tussle.
