The appearance of THAT big Hollywood star in the first scene of season 3 of ‘The Boys’ reminds us, and a lot, of ‘Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness’.
Season 3 of ‘The Boys’ kicks off with an arsenal of darts to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the ‘Snydercut’ of ‘The Justice League’in addition to offering us the most depraved version of an ‘Ant-Man’-style superhero who stars in the craziest and most violent sex scene you’ve ever seen.
Congratulations to Director Bourke. Excited to see your vision realized. https://t.co/iPB3SFRqpa

But what is most striking, the first thing that happens as soon as it begins, is the spectacular cameo with which the new batch of episodes of the Amazon Prime Video series based on the comics of Garth Ennis.
Many have wanted to highlight the obvious parallelism of this cameo with the post-credits scenes of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘, but… Was it premeditated or a simple coincidence?
SPOILERS FOR ‘THE BOYS’ AND ‘DOCTOR STRANGE 2’ FOLLOW
The first chapter of the new season of ‘The Boys’ begins in the preview of ‘Dawn of the Seven‘, a new movie starring Vought’s group of superheroes. Patriot, Starlight and company face the villain of the film, who is none other than the Nazi Stormfrontdefeated in the previous season 2. But, in this fiction within fiction, the role of Stormfront is not for Aya Cash but for Charlize Theron.
The actress, antagonist in the latest installments of the saga ‘Fast&Furious‘ and great protagonist of action movies like ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘Atomic‘, makes a cameo in which he is characterized as the evil character from The Boys and making reference to his sentimental relationship with Patriota and his Nazi past.
You will always be in my heart, but the Fourth Reich is in my soul
Charlize Theron’s cameo is doubly surprising, since She also left us speechless by appearing in one of the post-credits scenes of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ as Cleaa character that promises to be very important in the future of the Marvel saga.
‘The Boys’ has always been characterized by extreme parody of Marvel and DC superheroesso having one of the stars of the latest MCU hit play a Nazi villain is a hit from the showrunner Erick Kripke and all his team. But, according to statements by the creator of the series, everything seems to have been a lucky coincidence due to the friendship that unites the actress with seth rodenproducer of ‘The Boys’.

“Like most cameos on our show, the rigorous and strict selection process consists of ‘anyone who returns Seth Rogen’s phone calls‘” Kripke said.
“He had just done ‘Almost Impossible’ with Seth, and to his incredible credit, he agreed to come and help us. I actually feel kind of bad about it, because I’m sure he put it like, ‘Hey, do us a favor, get on camera and it’s a cameo.’ Then the next call is our costume designer, ‘OK, you have to come in and we have to design this super suit.’ He shows up on a big day of shooting with various camera crews and everything. But she was an immensely good professional and she is a lot of fun.. I mean, obviously she’s into comedies, but to see her work up close and personal, the level at which she engages in the most ridiculous dialogue anyone has ever said, is absurd. The heart and soul that she delivers it with is so much fun, it’s impressive. We were very lucky to have her.”.

About the cameo of ‘Charlize Theron in ‘Doctor Strange 2’, Kripke says he had no record of it. “I didn’t know the ‘Doctor Strange’ thing was happening. My guess is that we asked him beforeKripke said. “But I was in the theater watching ‘Doctor Strange’ with my kids and this cameo came up and I was like, ‘Yeah!’ Anything we can do to draw a line between us and Marvel makes for a good day.”.
