Silvero Pereira will live Maniac from the Park in a Prime Video movie; know the details

Long will be directed by Maurício Eça and will star Giovanna Grigio; the stream will also produce a serial killer documentary series

OR First video announced, on Tuesday 25, that it will launch a fiction film and a series of documentaries on park maniaca Brazilian serial killer who was active between 1997 and 1998.

During this period, Francisco de Assis Pereira, the real name of the serial killer, was accused of assaulting 21 women and killing ten of them, hiding their bodies in the Parque do Estado, in the Ipiranga region of São Paulo.

The actor Silvero Pereira will bring the criminal to life in the feature film, while Joan Grey will live Elena, a novice journalist who will investigate the murders and will try to reveal the details of the crimes.

Maurice Ecawho directed the two films about Suzane Von Richthofen released on the streaming platform, will take care of directing.

The documentary series will tell the side of the survivors of the serial killer attacks and the families of the victims, with unpublished testimonies and revelations. Thaís Nunes, an investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker, will direct the series together with Eça.

According to Prime Video, producer Santa Rita Filmes conducted an extensive survey to retrieve data on Maníaco do Parque. “More than 20,000 pages of the process were analyzed to create the scripts and more than 50 people were interviewed,” says the platform.
