Showrunner for Sex and the City and its sequel, And Just Like That, Michael Patrick King gave a great interview to Variety. The screenwriter hinted at the return of Kim Cattrall’s character to the storyline. In the first season, Samantha Jones was only shown through text messaging with Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw. Note that 65-year-old Cattrall has loudly stated in the past that she will never return to the series. However, earlier King also noted that this door is closed for the actress. When asked if Samantha would be in the second season, King answered in the affirmative, but was afraid to reveal more details.

In March, HBO announced that Just Like That had been renewed for a second season. Production will start in October and the show will premiere in the summer of 2023.

In addition, in a dialogue with the magazine, the actress once again emphasized that she does not communicate with colleagues on the set, since they are not her friends.
