In an interview, producer Beau Flynn gave more details about the dark tone of Black Adam, the next DC movie.

“The violence is real and it can be rough and horrible in places, but I think the audience will be okay. I think the kids will be fine. There is a huge heart in this movie. And at the same time, you have to have fun,” said the producer.
Therefore, flynn believes that the film manages to balance the heavier moments well with the lighter and more fun scenes. “There has to be joy in these films. And I think even when you see the trailer, you see, it even has the palette, the colors, the world, it’s not as dark as some other movies, but it still has some dark tones. And I think that’s important. The tone I think is what I’m most proud of about the film. This is hard. The tone is difficult,” concluded the producer.
