Black Adam: The Rock is ‘100% Committed’ to Movie Sequels

At a press conference, The Rock admitted that he is interested in expanding the Black Adam universe.

Dwayne Johnsonalso known as The Rockis the newest anti-hero of the A.D. Astro interprets black adam in the movie of the same name that won a trailer this Wednesday, 8, and is scheduled for release in October this year. The movie didn’t even hit theaters, but The Rock revealed that he is ready for more work like Black Adam.

“I am 100% committed to expanding the universe of black adam. We’re very focused on honoring the character’s mythology while also giving fans what they want. We hope that the film marks the beginning of a long journey full of stories,” said the actor at a press conference (via Young nerd).

In the same interview, The Rock also explained how the film seeks to show as much as possible a complete story of black adam: “O black adam There’s an amazing story in the comics that a lot of people don’t know about. From the beginning, we’ve sought a balance between making the film in a way that new audiences understand, and also that passionate fans trust that we know what to do.”

In addition to the actor, the cast also includes Sarah Shahi (Adrianna Tomaz/Isis), Pierce Brosnan (Doctor Fate), Noah Centineo (Atom Crusher), Aldis Hodge (Hawkman), between others. The plot shows black adam nearly 5,000 years after being bestowed with the omnipotent powers of the Egyptian gods – and arrested just as quickly. The character is released from the tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
