In the classic 1986 action movie, Val Kilmer gave life to Tom “Iceman” Kazansky — and even after losing the ability to speak due to throat cancer, the actor reprized the role in Top Gun: Maverick (2022). In an interview with USA Todaythe star revealed that he was very emotional when filming a specific scene of the feature film.
Kilmer stated that he was very touched by the scene in which his character, Ice Man, meets again Maverick, played by Tom Cruise.
“I was very excited the first time I saw [Tom Cruise]. Almost 40 years is a long time for a reunion. We laugh all day. Tone it’s great and surprisingly funny!,” revealed Kilmer.
