Insidious: The Red Door is the year’s highest-grossing horror so far

The film has already grossed US$182.5 million, surpassing M3GAN

After surpassing the US$180 million mark at the worldwide box office, Supernatural: The Red Door’,directed by Patrick Wilson, unseat M3GAN and goes on to occupy the position of greatest horror film of the year.

Another record was broken by the film, this time within the franchise itself. The fifth ‘Supernatural’ is the most profitable of all. The total gross of the five films is US$735 million. The post of the film must remain for some time, since the responsible producer, Jason Blum, stated during the press tour that the series will be going on hiatus.

Blum he also said that there is nothing certain about the future of the franchise, as there was until the release of the fifth film and does not reveal if this will be the last. The only certainty given by the producer is that the break between ‘A Porta Vermelha’ and its successor (if there is one) will be long.
