Anatel’s initiative with phone providers helps identify cloned chips
Finding out a person’s RG and CPF number can be very accessible, as the data is shared across different establishments and registrations that we carry out. With this, scammers can exploit the information to wire your CPF to a phone line or clone chips.
For cases like these, the providers Algar, Claro, Sercomtel, TIM and Vivo have joined forces with the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) in an initiative so that their customers can, using their CPF, check if there is a line unknown linked to provider .
If there is confirmation, the user can request the deletion of the line, according to Anatel. The agency clarifies that the question is valid only for prepaid lines, ie there is no verification of postpaid telephone lines.
Anatel launched the first phase of this project in 2019, with an update of the registrations with the holders of prepaid lines active throughout the national territory.
To make your query simple, just log on to cadapre.com.br, enter your details, and start your search. Watch the passage:
- Login to cadapre.com.br;
- On the home page, click on “Consult”;
- Enter your CPF and click “Consult” again;
- If there is an active prepaid line in your CPF, the list of providers will appear;
- If there is no mobile phone registered to your CPF, the message “Throughout the national territory, the consulted CPF does not have an active prepaid line in the participating operators”;
- The information is updated up to 30 days before the consultation date.
If any irregularity is reported, the consumer must contact the service provider corresponding to the survey and request the deletion of the line.
The cancellation request must be answered between 24 and 48 hours,
