2. A Quiet Place (2018)
To survive in the post-apocalyptic world scenario of the film, you just have to follow one rule: don’t make any noise! And with this condition, a family must fight to survive, avoiding being attacked by extremely sound-sensitive monsters.
John Krasinski is not only one of the protagonists, but also the director of the feature film, a combination that could go wrong, but has been successful. The sense of danger is present in every moment of the story, as the slightest noise can be fatal.

3. Hereditary (2018)
The Graham family grieves over the matriarch’s death, affecting everyone, especially her niece Charlie. Hereditary is the first feature film from director Ari Aster, who was later also responsible for Midsommar (2019) and Beau is Afraid (2022), two most successful thriller titles.

4. Psycho (1960)
It is one of Alfred Hitchcock’s best-known films and tells the story of the Bates family, who own a cheap motel. One day, a young woman decides to stay put, but she is disturbed by Norman Bates and her overprotective mother.
It is considered a milestone in the history of cinema, as one of the first thrillers to have a more psychological approach to the characters.

5. During the Storm (2018)
It is a Spanish thriller that shows Vera (Adriana Ugarte), a woman who manages to travel through time and save the life of a child who, 25 years ago, was in the house where she currently lives. 6. The Shining (1980)
It is one of the best-known films of the genre, also considered a classic. Starring Jack Nicholson and directed by Stanley Kubrick, the feature film is inspired by the novel by Stephen King, which tells the story of Jack Torrance, an alcoholic writer who agrees to work in an isolated hotel with a terrible past.

7. The Sixth Sense (1999)
The film has a twist that marked the history of cinema. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film tells the story of Leonard (Guy Pearce), a man who becomes incapable of retaining new memories after suffering a violent attack that kills his wife. 10. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Considered by many to be the best thriller in cinematic history, it was the first of its kind to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. In it, a young FBI agent must investigate a serial killer known as Buffalo Bill, and to help in the investigation, she must take a risk, enlisting the help of Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant psychiatrist, but convicted of murder and cannibalism.
