The United States Screenwriters Union (WGA) and the Film and TV Producers Alliance (AMPTP) have scheduled another meeting for this Friday (11), to decide on professional contracts – after a lack of agreement in the last meeting.
Last week, the organizations met with equal attention, but disagreed on the issues at hand. For this reason a new meeting was set, according to the information acquired by the Omelette.
Carol Lombardini (Chair of the AMPTP) asked the WGA negotiating committee to meet the AMPTP negotiators on Friday. We expect AMPTP to provide responses to WGA proposals. Our committee returns to the negotiating table ready to make a fair deal, knowing the unified WGA members stand behind us and are emboldened by the continued support of our union allies.
