Sun, heat and dry air predominate in Brazil

Areas of instability cause heavy rains in the South region. It may rain in some places in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul

Large areas of instability extend into southern Brazil. Part of the charged clouds arrives in Mato Grosso do Sul and in the south of São Paulo.

The humid air that comes from northern Brazil spreads through the north and west of Mato Grosso, and rain clouds can form in these regions during the day.

A large dry air mass affects interior Brazil by reducing humidity and the chance of rain in the interior northeast, most of the Midwest and Southeast, over Tocantins and much of Pará.

Some rain clouds grow along the northeast coast and parts of the northern region.

Brazil weather forecast for 08/12/2023 – Saturday

South Region

Areas of instability are still growing over southern Brazil and storm clouds have spread over much of the region.

The sun and dry climate predominate only in the center and south of Rio Grande do Sul and in the extreme north of Paraná.

In the centre, west and east of Paraná it rains in the afternoon and at night, with the risk of lightning. In the central-west and south of Santa Catarina and in the north of Rio Grande do Sul the weather is rainy for most of the day. In the center, east and west of Rio Grande do Sul, east and north/northeast of Santa Catarina, showers can occur at any time, but some sunshine should appear.

Southeast region

Dry air prevails in the south-east and almost the whole Region has a day with strong sun, few clouds and heat for most of the day.

Rain showers are expected on the south coast of São Paulo and in the Ribeira valley in the south of this state in the afternoon and in the evening, with the arrival of a cold front. It can rain at night in Greater Sao Paulo

Midwest region

Dry air affects the Midwest and leaves nearly the entire region with few clouds, lots of sunshine, and no conditions for rain.

Humidity increases west and northwest of Mato Grosso and some showers are expected in the afternoon and evening, but in small areas.

Growing areas of instability in Paraguay cause rain and lightning in central-west and southern Mato Grosso do Sul Beware of very dry air, with air humidity levels ranging between 11% and 30% in much of the Region.

Beware of the intense heat, especially in Mato Grosso and western Goiás, where temperatures reach 40°C.

Northeast Region

The sun and dry climate predominate in the interior of the northeast. The presence of a dry air mass rules out the conditions for rain.

Clouds continue to build along the coast and showers are expected from the south coast of Bahia east of the Rio Grande do Norte. Rain is more frequent and moderate on the coast of Alagoas. Rain showers with lightning occur on the coast of Maranhão.

There are conditions for temporary rainfall in the Zona da Mata and Agreste from Sergipe to Rio Grande do Norte and in the sertão of Sergipe and Alagoas.

Northern region

Day with a lot of sun and heat in Tocantins and in the center, south and east of Pará. There are no conditions for rain.

In the other areas of the Northern Region, showers with lightning are expected, mainly in the afternoon and at night, but with sunny periods.

Rain is more frequent in Acre and Rondônia

Beware of moderate to heavy rain and lightning in the region of Missões and on the northern coast of Rio Grande do Sul, north/northeast and east of Santa Catarina, west, central, south and east of Paraná, on the southern coast of São Paulo, west and south of Mato Grosso do South, on the border of Mato Grosso with Bolivia, in Rondônia, in Acre, in Amazonas (except in the east of the state)

Watch out for moderate rains

on the north coast of Bahia, Sergipe and Alagoas and on the east coast of Rio Grande do Norte.

Very dry air warning, with humidity levels between 12% and 20% in central, southern and eastern Mato Grosso, northern and northeastern Mato Grosso do Sul, northwest São Paulo, southern and central western Goiás , in the central-west and south-west of Tocantins.

Beware of dry airwith humidity levels between 21% and 30% in the east of Mato Grosso do Sul, in Minas Gerais (except in the east of the state), in the center, west and north of São Paulo, in the central-east and north- east of Goiás, in central-south and east of Maranhão, in the interior of Piauí, in the sertão of Pernambuco and Paraíba and in central-west and north of Bahia.
