Fraud of the century that took place in France and Europe between 2008 and 2009. Billions have gone up in smoke in the new financial market for “carbon quotas” invented to fight global warming.
This is how D’argent et de Song, one of the most anticipated series of the second half of the year, is described. Screened at Cannes and presented at the 80th Venice Film Festival in September, the 12-episode thriller is directed by Xavier Gianoli, to whom we owe the much-Caesarized Lost Illusions.
Scam of the century, held in series of the year
Inspired by a true story and adapted from a 2018 investigative book by Médiapart journalist Fabre Harf, the CANAL+ original creation describes how two street urchins in Belleville managed to embezzle billions from Bercy’s biggest mastermind. Between lies, money and passions, the filmmaker once again explores the relationship between people and their vices in a spectacularly paced series, alternating between action scenes, investigation and machinations.
An explosive cocktail, which can already be seen in the first pictures of the series, which CANAL + published on social networks. Electric, the teaser also lets you discover the impressive cast of this highly anticipated thriller.
D’Argent et de Sang, an original creation by Xavier Giannoli, inspired by the incredible story of the carbon tax scam, with Vincent Lyndon, Nils Schneider and Ramsay Bedia, coming soon to CANAL+.

Nils Schneider and Ramsay were sued by Bedia Vincent Lyndon
Therefore, we will find Vincent Lyndon in the role of the customs inspector, Simon Weinachter, but also Nils Schneider. As such, the actor replaces Gaspard Ulliel, who was originally cast as Jerome Attias – a character inspired by businessman Arno Mimran – before a tragic skiing accident in January 2022.
They are joined by Ramzi Bedia, Judith Chemla, Franco-Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko and David Ayala (Triumph), Andre Marconi (Lost Illusions) or even Ivan Attal. While no date has been announced, our patience should be quickly rewarded as we know that the series will be released “soon on CANAL+”. We look forward to it!
