Amácio Mazzaropi was a Brazilian actor, comedian, producer, singer and director of enormous success in the national cinema, between the 50s and the beginning of the 80s. He looks like the personified figure of the popular character “Jeca Tatu” from Moteiro Lobato, however, the figure of his grandfather was a source of inspiration to create the typical caipira of the interior of São Paulo, which, precisely, refers to the caipira of many and many distant Brazilian cities.
Thirty-two feature films were produced, initially as an actor, to become a producer in 1958, ended up dying before finishing the thirty-third film – Mary Tomb Man – since 1982.
