Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), determined this Thursday (17) the violation of the tax and banking secrecy of former president Jair Bolsonaro and former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro.
The decision accommodates a request by the Federal Police as part of the investigation investigating the illegal sale and subsequent repurchase of jewels and other luxury items given as gifts by Arab countries to Bolsonaro while he was in office as president.
By law, these items should have been declared to the Federal Revenue Agency and included in state assets. .
