Melrose Place: What happened to the stars of the cult series of the 1990s?

This Saturday, 19 August 2023, M6 is broadcasting new episodes of Fantasy Island from 9.10pm. In the second part of the evening, viewers of the channel will also attend a reunion between the actors of the iconic series Melrose Place from the 1990s!

When ‘Melrose Place’ meets ‘Fantasy Island’

Indeed, Josie Bisset (Jane), Laura Leighton (Sydney) and Daphne Zuniga (Joe) highlight the scenes here, in which the nostalgia effect is guaranteed! In this sequel to the iconic fantasy fantasy island, the actors play three old friends who land in this paradise to celebrate their fiftieth birthday…

On this occasion, AlloCiné decided to bring you some news from the entire cast of Melrose Place! Offered on Fox in the US from 1992-1999, the show had seven seasons and no less than 226 episodes, each one crazier than the next!

But this mini-reunion on Fantasy Island isn’t the first for the former Melrose Place stars… In 2009, The CW launched a sequel to the flagship series, and in these new adventures, Heather Locklear (Amanda), Daphne Zuniga, Laura Layton, Josie Bisset and Thomas Calabro (Michael) all reprized their roles from the previous year!

What will happen to the stars of “Melrose Place”?

Aside from this nod to the past, the interpreters of the characters in Melrose Place have, for the most part, never stopped working. Some, like Courtney Thorne-Smith (Alison) or Grant Shaw (Jake), have had guest appearances over the years…

Others, such as Jack Wagner (Peter), Rena Soffer (Eva) or even Vanessa Williams (Ronda) returned to fame for a while by interfering in the series, while Kristin Davis (Brooke) or Alyssa Milano (Jennifer) literally become icons. The small screen after Melrose Place…

Doug Savant (Matt) and Marcia Cross (Kimberly) lived at the center of a real-life social phenomenon starring on Desperate Housewives! Kelly Rutherford (Megan), on the other hand, introduced herself to the younger generation of viewers by playing Gossip Girl for six years.

On the other hand, serious personal setbacks have unfortunately derailed the lives and careers of several people… Find them anyway in our special Melrose Place slideshow below, not forgetting Fantasy Island this Saturday, August 19 at 9:10pm. M6.
