The character Goo Won (Lee Jun-ho) is a millionaire heir to a luxury hotel conglomerate in Korea, called the King Group. Spoiled by life and grumpy by choice, he is the least charismatic person possible and rules his professional life with an iron fist. One day, he returns to the family hotel to relive the memories he has of her mother, who disappeared years ago, and meets the clerk Cheon Sa-rang (Lim Yoon-A): a cheerful and super smiley woman, who he she hates as soon as he meets her.
Having grown up in a family where everything was made up of appearances, Goo Won hates smiles and any behavior synonymous with sympathy, which leads him to threaten to fire anyone who dares to behave that way around him. However, Sarang doesn’t hesitate to treat him with lots of kindness and smiles which he deeply hates and becomes obsessed with the girl.
In a romantic comedy atmosphere, washed down with an “enemies ad lovers” atmosphere, the divergence of personalities between Goo Won and Sa-rang only brings them closer, instead of alienating them, and offers them the opportunity to get to know each other better and realize there is more to each other than just bad feelings and frowns.
The cast still has names like Ko Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Kim Jae-won and Ahn Se-ha. All 16 episodes of the K-drama are now available on Netflix. Watch the trailer below:
