Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) president Luis Rubiales caused controversy at the Women’s World Cup final by giving an average of kiss on Jenni Hermoso’s mouthbut it didn’t stop there. To celebrate Spain’s unprecedented world title, the coach held his genitals by hand in the boxes of the stadium.
On the field, the team got the better of England in the decider in Sydney, 1-0, to lift the trophy for the first time.
The day after the title, the coach apologized to the playerfor forcing a kiss on her.

“Certainly I was wrong, I have to admit. It was without bad faith at a time of greatest outpouring. Here (in Spain) we saw it of course, but abroad (the country) a stir arose. I must apologise, learn from that and you understand that, when you’re president, you have to be more careful,” Rubiales said.
Pressure for an apology
Before the official apology, Rubiales told “Rádio Marca” that the kiss was a gesture of affection. “The kiss with Jenni? There are idiots everywhere. When two people have a little moment of affection, we can’t listen to idiots. We are champions and I take it.”
