Two years after his last screen appearance in the feature film Villa Caprice, Patrick Bruel will star as an Israeli secret agent in the action thriller Unit 8200 for TF1. The new project, which offers him the first leading role in the series.
A few days before the start of the 2023-2024 television season, where TF1 offers many new features such as Mademoiselle Holmes, Rivière-perdue, Brocéliande or La Tribu, the channel announced yesterday the start of filming. Series 8200, six of the 52 episodes will be filmed over several weeks between Paris, the Paris region and Tel Aviv.
In this series, loosely adapted from the book by former Mossad agent Dov Alphonse, Patrick Bruel portrays Zeev Abadi, an Israeli intelligence legend who is urgently called back to catch a traitor who has stolen extremely dangerous software developed under the utmost secrecy. A branch of the Israeli army, known as Unit 8200, was first used in Paris.
This mission leads him to team up with French counter-terrorism police officer Fleur Giroux (Natacha Lindinger), who is responsible for solving a strange disappearance that occurred in broad daylight at Charles de Gaulle Airport. From Tel Aviv to Paris, viewers will witness two high-tension investigations conducted by two powerful agents.
Along with Patrick Bruel and Natacha Lindinger (Avenir, Entre ses mains), who continues to collaborate with TF1 after leaving Sam, fans of action and thrillers will find Cyril Gué (Lies), Christian Millet (Le Code), Gaia Weiss (Marie-). Antoinette) and Rasha Butsvik.
