Ambulance on Netflix: Discover the Danish film that inspired the Michael Bay thriller

Before Michael Bay’s explosive thriller “Ambulance” arrives in the dark rooms, discover the Scandinavian work on the Netflix platform that inspired him.

An ambulance, led by Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Matin II, will be released in French cinemas this Wednesday. Opportunity to recall that Thriller Michael Bay Spectacular is a remake of a Danish film, a Scandinavian work, available on the Netflix platform, the trailer of which can be seen above.

Also called an ambulance (Emergency In the original version), a Danish feature film released in 2005, tells the story of two brothers who rob a mother to raise money for a rescue operation. After their atrocity, two men escape into an ambulance driven by a female doctor and aboard a heart patient.

The Scandinavian version, worn by actor Thomas Bo Larsen (recently seen in Drunk subtitles with Maddie Mickelsen), has a plot that differs significantly from the Hollywood remake. In a Danish film, for example, the mother of two characters survives, while Yahya -Abdul-Matin II’s wife is ill with American opus.

It should also be noted that the Scandinavian ambulance, which obviously benefited from a much more modest budget than the US version for action scenes, is more prone to school boys’ comedy. Finally, note the very short duration of the Danish film (1 hr. 20 hrs), while shown in the Michael Bay blockbuster 2 hrs.
