In the first film, Mrs. Tweedy (Miranda Richardson/Nádia Carvalho) is the owner of a chicken coop in the countryside of England, where most of the birds live a short and monotonous life, merely laying eggs and ending up in the pot. But Rocky (Mel Gibson/Dário de Castro), an American rooster, appears flying over the farm fence and things begin to change.
Rocky falls in love with Ginger (Julia Sawalha/Miriam Ficher), who dreams of a better life and wants to escape from the farm. Together, they devise a plan to achieve freedom. However, Mrs. Tweedy decides it’s time to send the whole farm to the oven and Rocky and Ginger must race against the clock.
