On Monday, August 28, everything starts here…
Amber meets Malik
The entrance exams at the Auguste Armani Institute begin today. Hortense fears that she will not be credible as a teacher and examiner, but Mehdi reassures her. She wants to encourage Suleiman, but her husband prevents her because it could be passed for preferential treatment…
Nevertheless, Hortense still arranges a discreet meeting with Suleiman at the commissary to restore his confidence. At the same time, Berenice, who is none other than Constance’s half-sister, introduces herself to Teyssier. These two are clearly not close.
As usual, the director is icy and defiant as he dishes on her peaks. Meanwhile, Solal and Ambre meet the candidates at the prison entrance. Malik arrives and Amber immediately recognizes him, as does Solal, who remembers her profile on her ex’s app!
He also admits: he never posted photos on the interface, claimed to be Ophel, and never went to the scheduled meeting with Malik! He has no idea who he is. Then, when Solal wishes him good luck, Malik replies that he won’t need it… this cocky confidence really annoys Amber.
Malik meets Suleiman. When he learns that the latter lives here, he asks who Ophelia is…obviously, Antoine’s son has no idea. Gradually, Malik realizes that “Opheli” was actually a fake profile. He is very disappointed.
Hortense opposes Mark and Teyssier
In the dressing room, Tom, Billy and Vicki meet Penelope. All three take him as a teacher when he is actually a candidate! He explains to them that he is 35 years old but is in the process of professional training… They are delighted and wish him luck in the competition.
Tests will begin in Double A’s kitchens. Although very uptight, Berenia is not lacking in humor, which amuses Carla, another candidate. The first exam begins and will last four hours… except it won’t be so easy!
The prescribed ingredients are very difficult to combine a priori and the music will play while the youngsters cook… but they will have to stop when the work stops and resume when it resumes!
After the clock starts, Teissier amuses himself by stopping the music to annoy the protesting candidates. The director pauses for too long, Hortense asks Mark to reason with her friend, but he claims this is a method to push others to overcome themselves.
Penelope gets angry and has a heated relationship with Tessier. He thinks he’s showing sadism! She and Mark note her strong temperament and admit that they appreciate this character trait, provided that she knows how to cook perfectly with the side. Teissier finally brings back the music.
The first elimination names have been revealed
Time passes and the trial ends. Alas, Malik and Penelope fail… Hortense comes to their defense: they were totally unprepared for this event under these circumstances and deserve a second chance. Mark overhears her and asks the eliminated players what they would do with more time… Unfortunately, Malik and Penelope don’t know what to say. Leroy then leaves them to move on to reasoning.
The first results are in: Maya, Malik and Penelope fail. On the other hand, this applies to Carla, Berenice, Jim, Leonard and Suleiman. The latter is also worried about Antoine’s behavior. His father wants to quickly avoid the joy, because he judges that his son can decide to leave everything at once…
Later that day, Hortense makes a video for her diary. He regrets the way he went through the trial, because everything was unfair in his opinion. Hortense wanted to see the candidates riot. He then criticizes Mark, whom he describes as cunning, evil and worse than Teyssier… and Mehdi’s wife concludes that the chef is a bastard! However, the main stakeholder gives him a surprise and demands an explanation…
