Director Michael Mann (Heat, Ali, Colléteral) hasn’t made a feature film with Chris Hemsworth’s hacker since 2015. After a brief stint on television to sign the first episode of Tokyo Vice, the filmmaker returns to the big screen with Ferrari.
Presented at the Venice Film Festival, Ferrari focuses on the summer of 1957, when former racing driver Enzo Ferrari was in crisis. Bankruptcy derails the business he and his wife, Laura, built from scratch ten years earlier.
Their turbulent marriage struggles with the loss of one son and the recognition of another. He decides to challenge his losses in one race – 1000 miles at the iconic Mille Miglia in Italy.
The trailer reveals Adam Driver in the shoes of Enzo Ferrari and focuses on the manufacturer’s love affairs, along with several images of all the races. In the casting we can find Penelope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Jack O’Connell or even Patrick Dempsey.
While the biopic is expected in the United States on December 25, it will be released directly in France on the Amazon Prime Videoe platform at a date that has not yet been announced.
Ferrari, coming soon to Prime Video.
