The former ‘One Direction’ star stars in this story about a gay cop in 1950s England, and these are all the details we know at the moment.
Harry Styles stars in ‘My Policeman’, which will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video and promises to show you a new interpretive facet of the singer. The platform has just published the first images of the film, in which we see him with Emma Corrin and David Dawson ready to bring Bethan Roberts’ book to life. Also we have release date: November 4, 2022 on Prime Video.
Directed by Michael Grandage, ‘My Policeman’ follows three young people who embark on an emotional journey in 1950s Britain. They are Policeman Tom (Harry Styles), Professor Marion (Emma Corrin, who was Princess Diana in ‘The Crown’) and museum curator Patrick (David Dawson). Years later, in the 1990s, the adult versions of these three characters (played respectively by Linus Roache, Gina McKee and Rupert Everett) continue to feel nostalgia and regret, but now they have one last chance to repair the pain of the past. The film speaks of forbidden love, social conventions and intolerance, in what Prime Video describes as “an evocative and moving portrait of three people caught up in the changing tides of history, freedom and forgiveness”.

I think it depends a lot on who you’re working with and what the situation is,” Styles said. “All I can say from my own experience is that I was very lucky to have a very trusting relationship with the people we worked with and that was the first thing”.

In addition to ‘My Policeman’, which we will see in the fall, the singer stars in ‘Don’t Worry Darling’, the new film by Olivia Wilde alongside Florence Pugh.
