That’s right, the live adaptation of One Piece is online. The new Netflix series has convinced fans of anime and manga, if the first reviews are to be believed.
With a hefty budget of $144 million for 8 episodes, the streaming platform has pushed the odds to convince subscribers. And the result is more successful.
One Piece is a rich and dense world filled with characters, most of them with amazing physical characteristics. In addition to humans, there are also fish-men, such as Arlong, the big bad of the first season. If there’s one thing Netflix needs to take care of, it’s costumes and special effects.
The teams traveled to the four corners of the world to find those who would interpret the Straw Hat crew on the big screen (Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp and Sanji in the first season).
