Military Brigade and Civil Police join forces in intensive action to contain crime

On Thursday evening (31/8), the security forces, represented by the 20th Battalion of the Military Brigade and the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection of the Civil Police, united again in Operation Area Saturation, with the aim of confronting and reduce crime rates in the northern part of the capital.

The main objective of the operation is to provide an energetic response to crime through intensive approaches and proactive actions. Furthermore, the action aims to repress violent acts and contribute to the reduction of criminal indicators that afflict the region.

During Operation Area Saturation, an individual was arrested in the Passo das Pedras neighborhood on drug trafficking charges. During the approach, 70 crack stones, 66 portions of marijuana, 35 pins of cocaine, various Eppendorf-type plastic packaging and the sum of R$ 50.00 were found in their possession. This arrest and seizure of the material represents a significant advance in traffic enforcement measures in the region.
