Mayke, from Palmeiras, has reason to feel a little relieved. This is because the Justice accepted the request of the player’s defense in the lawsuit brought against Willian Bigode, today at Atletico-PR. In this way the attacker will have a share equal to 30% of his salary to be paid to those who have invested a large sum in a cryptocurrency investment company.
The decision, signed by Judge Christopher Alexander Roisin, of the São Paulo Court of Justice, was adopted on Wednesday. Gustavo Scarpa also invested some money but, unlike Mayke, the same request was rejected on two occasions by the judge.
“It is not known what compensation will be paid to the defendant Willian, Serie A footballer of the Brazilian men’s football championship, multiple champion of several elite national clubs – including Fluminense and Atletico Paranense -, it is certain that their decent concession arrest at the level of 30 percent of net compensation will not affect livelihood,” an excerpt from Judge Christopher Alexander Roisin’s decision reads.
Scarpa and Mayke went to court to try to recover the invested sums, which should have been redeemed last year. The athletes said they tried to withdraw the investment, without success.
In a report on the incident, Scarpa says he invested BRL 6.3 million, while Mayke allegedly contributed BRL 4.083 million to the company Xland Holding Ltda. The promise was a yield of 3.5% to 5% per month.
