The Nigerian did not answer questions and preferred to speak
A loss to Sean Strickland was perhaps not in Israel Adesanya’s plans last weekend in the main fight of UFC 293. And that may be one of the reasons why his presence at the post-event press conference became a little different.
The ‘Last Stylebender’ appears in the press room at the event to talk about the defeat and loss of the middleweight belt. But the Nigerian spent only a short time in front of journalists before leaving the room.
– I had a different plan for today, but sometimes life throws you surprises. Win or lose, I wouldn’t have much to say, but now, tonight I lost to whoever was better – said Adesanya.
The Nigerian did not answer any questions from the journalists present, making his presence at the press conference a mere statement. As soon as he finished speaking, he left the room and handed the microphone into the hands of his coach, Eugene Bareman, stating that he “wanted to be close to his family” after losing to Strickland.
– I want to go now and be close to people who like me. My team is here and waiting, so I’ll go meet them. But I’ll leave them in the hands of a guy smarter than me, and I’ll admit it. I leave you with Eugene Bareman. For the first time he will be in charge of it. Now I have breakfast, I build a family and I’ll see you next time – added the Nigerian.

But this wasn’t the unusual display Adesanya made after the loss to Strickland. On social media the Nigerian left a video in which he demonstrated that he was in a better situation than immediately after the meeting,
– I’m still alive and that’s good. I hate losing, but I love living and I’m fine. I will talk to people, but now I have to take care of myself – she wrote.
