It’s Quentin Tarantino’s favorite series and you won’t believe it

If Quentin Tarantino has a favorite TV series, you might imagine that it would be full of violence, rock, and/or monologues like he likes in his movies, but it’s not! Besides, the show he prefers is the perfectly innocuous sitcom: How I Met Your Mother.

From 2005 to 2014, the series aired with 5 characters: Ted Mosby (The Architect) (Josh Radnor), Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshall Ericksen (Jason Segel). – with so many detours that some actors got bored! – How did Teddy meet his wife. Therefore, the series is only one long flash.

Here’s what was said MTV Directing Django Unchained in 2012, when the series was still unfinished:

Hands down, my favorite show is How I Met Your Mother, I’ve been watching it since the first episode and it’s the only show I continue to watch.

His cinema was often bloody and gun-heavy, as you might expect from the director of Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, another favorite series. But we have to admit that HIMYM (for close friends) had that je ne sais quoi that managed to make the public attached to its characters and their development, always keeping in mind the burning question: how did the father of these two young heroes act. (Ted) Do you know their mother?

While the series is Tarantino’s favorite, it may not be what he considers his all-time best. Over the years and in interviews, the Pulp Fiction author has identified several titles as the series he really enjoyed:

Billions (Tarantino even wrote to the creators to express his gratitude for the series), Queen’s Gambit, Kung Fu, Bonanza, The Newsroom, The Haunting of Hill House and even The Shield.

If you haven’t seen How I Met Your Mother or want to re-watch the episodes, the series is currently available in its entirety on Disney+, with 208 episodes spread over 9 seasons!

How did I meet your father?

And if you’ve already seen everything, know that there’s a How I Met Your Father spin-off in the present day. And which allows us to understand what has become of Barney. The Hilary Duff-led series only lasted two seasons before being canceled and is also available on Disney+.
